Our Flaplins are made with freshly milled linseed (flaxseed) Rich in Omega-3, Soluble Fibre, Protein and Lignans and are super tasty! This recipe can be amended to include cranberries or any dried fruit you prefer. Simply add the fruit to the dried mixture. We suggest a couple of tablespoons.

INGREDIENTS

280g Butter
70g Golden Syrup
210g Caster sugar
280g Oats
187g The Linseed Farm Brown or Gold Linseed Meal


Method

Heat the oven 170ºC (fan). Put parchment on a 12”x 8” shallow tray

Weigh sugar, oats and Linseed meal, and put them in bowl and mix.  Melt the butter in the saucepan with the golden syrup. Remove the pan from the hob.

Put the dried mixture in the pan and mix them very well, then turn onto the tray and press flat.
Bake in the oven for 20 mins (approx). Remove from the oven and then leave to cool.

Cut into squares and then leave to finish cooling in the tray.

When cold store in an airtight container.

** Instead of using caster sugar, use dark or light brown sugar which gives a lovely mixture and texture.
